Details of any current vacancies in the Office of Councillor, or any election/by-elections taking place within the area are listed below.
 
Notice of Vacancy in the Office of Councillor - North Cowton Parish Council
 
Notice of Vacancy in the Office of Councillor - Melsonby Parish Council
 
Example of form to request the vacancy is filled by election
 
Local (County, District or Parish) by-elections can arise by virtue of resignation, death or disqualification of a local councillor.  They cannot take place within six months of scheduled elections for that seat.

In the event of such a by-election, notices will be placed on the parish notice boards and on this website.
