Planning Policy work is done by the Policy Team within
the Council's Customer Service.
The Development Management Team is responsible for the
Council's principal functions in regulating the development of the
District as well as Conservation and Regeneration.

produced jointly with Hambleton District Council as part of our
Shared Services arrangements. The Guide can be found

in it you can find information about the planning system works at
the local level as well as guidance on how you can get

Please note – The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority is
responsible for planning in the National Park.
